This is a pretty fascinating idea. I had a principle in middle school who made his whole house out of recycled pop cans filled with concrete and then stacked like logs and grouted to form his walls. Pretty labor intensive but kinda cool.

The bottles would have better insulating value if they were filled with (tap) water. They would heat up during the day and let off heat at night. But then you have alot of weight. Maybe squish them. I might try a small squat cold frame with this idea.

I’m really hoping to build one of these this summer, that’s if I can collect enough bottles together! I’m using a lot as frost protection at the moment.

I though that this was a cool idea, until my DH explained how these bottles and tires will leak chemicals into the garden earth… You know that stink of rubber tires in the hot sun ? That means chemicals are breaking down, and going into the ground. Not something I would want in my garden.
